Can't boot into recovery mode after doing factory reset and pc does not recongnis usb

I factory reset my Motorola Droid Razr HD.
1)now my PC says 'USB DEVICE MALFUNCTIONED'
2)I cannot boot into recovery mode
i can do all other things with the phone
