can't change contact name

Whenever I try to change a contacts name it changes in the edit contact box but whenever I look at it in contacts it stays the same and in the edit contact box there is an endless amount of contact info to scroll through it repeats itself.

It doesn't sound to me like you're editing your contact correctly. How that can happen I'm not sure, you apparently have the original Droid.

Have you looked at your contacts on line with a computer in Gmail? You can probably straighten everything out that way.

Yes I have the original droid and I am running ultimate droid 2.0.0, and how do I see my contacts in gmail?
