Can't connect to wifi (in Japan) - WPA2 problem

Hi,

I have an original Verizon Droid, running Froyo, which works fine at home.

I'm travelling in Japan, and rented a Buffalo portable router, a BF-01B, I think.

I can connect to the router fine with my netbook (Acer), but for some reason, I cannot connect with the Droid.

In dmesg, I see "incompatible channel source information" messages.

I think it's because the router is set to WPA2, and, for some reason the Droid won't work with that.

The place I rented said that all the router config is in Japanese, which I can't read, so they don't want me to try to re-configure it to just WPA, so I'm kind of stuck :(...

I have ADB working from my netbook, so does anyone know if maybe I can do something and edit wpa_supplicant.conf to make this work?

Here's what wpa_supplicant.conf looks like now:

# cat wpa_supplicant.conf
cat wpa_supplicant.conf
##### wpa_supplicant configuration file template #####
update_config=1
ctrl_interface=tiwlan0
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
fast_reauth=1

Thanks!!

Jim
