Can't create a folder on my SD-ext card

I just switched from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to the Droid Razor Maxx because of connectivity issues and after taking the nexxus back 4 times I just gave up on it. I am
trying to get my music files off of my PC on to my SD-ext card. Every time I try to create a folder it says can't create the folder. Can someone please help me figure out how to do that.

Try installing one of the file browser apps (Astro, AndroZip, etc.) and creating the folder using that. Also, what option are you choosing when connecting the PC to the Maxx?

Have you formatted the card with your new phone?

1. Press the Menu key from the Home Screen
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Storage
4. Touch Unmount SD card
5. Touch Format SD card or Format internal storage
   • Any information stored on either the internal memory or the SD card will be erased.
   • After selecting Format SD card / Format internal storage, turn the phone off and back on again to remount the storage back to your device.

You mention that you have new phone, so that I assume you have new a new SD card. So first format it. If your issue not fix, I think it's a SD card issue. So replace another.
