Can't get 3G

I am new at this, but I need help! I'm using an original Droid that has stopped picking up 3G. There is no symbol on my screen. No 1x, nothing! I did a battery pull. A *228, and a factory reset. I can call and text, but picture messages don't work and no internet
I've talked to several ppl in text support, but no fix. Any ideas?
