cant get into bootloader

Hello.

I was trying to SBF my droid 2 and it somehow failed after a couple of minutes into it.

So I was going to try and re flash it but now the device will not boot into the bootloader. It just powers up and is stuck at the Motorola symbol.

The phone will power up and boot into the current ROM which happens to be Apex 2.

So basically I cant SBF it seems. Is there anyway to fix this? BTW I did not accpet the new update that bricks your device if you try to SBF back to an earlier version.

Holding power & up on the d-pad won't get it into the bootloader? Is the phone stuck or will it boot into android?
