Cant go past start up animation

I had just got my driod about 3 weeks ago and just last night i turned my droid 2 off and it wont come back on. It will go to where it says droid and the eye but it will just run that over and over again. Everything is stock on my fone except for a couple apps that i downloaded.

Pull the battery and then press the start button while holding the X key. That will take you to the recovery menu. One of the options is to wipe data/factory reset.

If you don't want to do that, take it to a factory Verizon store and have them do it/reflash the os or replace the phone.

At 3 weeks you're near the end of your 30 day period where you get a new D2 rather than a refurb unit if you have problems...so best to take care of this promptly if that is important to you.

I agree that a factory reset (removes all apps you installed, clears all email accounts and data from the phone (SD card is not affected) is a good first step.
