cant have two contacts of the same

Anybody having this contact issue, I can't have two contacts with the same names, if I do they get combined. Also say I make a contact called "John", and add another contact named "Johnny", "Johhny" gets combined with "John"...seems rediculous to me..

Anyone notice this or have a fix for it?

Are you creating the contacts via the Contacts app on the phone of through Gmail on a browser?

Whichever one you are doing, try the other and see if it makes a difference.

Yes, Im doing it via the contacts app on the phone...ill have to try the browser, but thats a hassle to have to do it through there if it works.

Well I had to name the 1st one John, and the second J.Lastname...
