Can't link contacts on Droid 3... Help!

Hey there,

I can't link my contacts on my new Droid 3 like I could on my Droid 2 Globe. The user manual says to click on a contact, then menu, then "link contact" but this option isn't there! Is anyone else having this problem? Have you found a solution? I'm really frustrated... Thanks for your help!

are you trying to link with Facebook? if so, they took that out (Google)

Google Disables Facebook Contact Sync in Android 2.3.3 (Nexus S Only, for now)

If you are talking about something else just disregard.

I can't link any contacts at this point. I have various phone numbers for people that were saved separately in my Backup Assistant, and I can't even get those to link. =( Thanks for the info on FB though, didn't know that yet!

The step you're missing is that you have to edit the contact first. The link item is in the menu when you do that.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! It is also no longer called "link contact" but is now "Join." That certainly did help in my searches.

You can still do this, just not through the FB app.
