Can't send MMS with BB 1.0

It seems that I can receive MMS messages, but cannot send them with BB 1.0. I am using Bekit's 1Ghz kernel with SP Recovery and stock theme.

I've tried reinstalling the ROM (wiping data and cache multiple times), installing the Email and MMS patch, replacing the modified MMS apk with the stock apk in Root Explorer (permissions are correct), and uninstalling Handcent. None of the above has solved the issue. So, I am requesting help.

I don't have much experience with Pete's latest ROMs but if you have to do that much "work around" stuff, maybe try a different rom. Also, not sure if bekit's kernels are compatable with Pete's roms. Try one of Chevy1's kernels instead.
