Change default open with within an app

I accidentally chose "always" to open pictures with an app within my messenger app. I usually pick 1 time only because sometimes I want to save the pictures in my phone and sometimes I just want to view the picture. How can I change it to say open with again.

Welcome to the forum

Go to settings - app manager - scroll to all and find the app it's opening with now. Tap it and tell it to clear the defaults and cache, restart and try again.
