Sorry, but you get what you get. It is a freebie after all.

Lots of people complain about this so you're not alone but I've never understood what difference it makes. To each his own I guess.

You can't change the voice, but you can give it an accent.

Go to Settings --> Voice input and output --> Text-to-speech settings --> Language

From there you can choose a new language including English (United Kingdom).

You can add a new SVOX. I am currently using SVOX classic TTS which is available on the market for a few dollars. The voice is MUCH BETTER than the stock voice and is available in just about every language.

This voice can then be used for all your text-to-voice applications such as vlingo safe reader.
