Charging battery jumpes from 80%-100%

I was having major battery drain issues, I had the battery swapped and today verizon swapped the phone. When i was charging it i noticed it went from 80% full to 100% almost immediately. Any idea?? I have the extended battery. my old phone was lasting 6-8 hours with min usage.
