Choppy Call Quality

I am new to VZW, this is probably my 4th week or so. Is it normal to have choppy call quality with 1-2 bars? Their coverage map shows best quality in my area, but I get about 1-2 bars a lot when I sit 6-7 feet from a window. I have to use my house phone to make calls most of the times because of this . Although I don't talk much, I was just curious about this.

no its not u might have a defected phone, i would check it out
