Chrono Trigger SNES issue

So here is whats going on, I downloaded this rom and it seemed god and all but it wont load saved games. I have no problem getting into it or anything, but when i reload the rom there is no load screen. I was about 3 hours into it as well so I was fairley pissed about this.
Any ideas?

are you running LITE or the paid version? with the paid version, you get saved states. do you have more than one version of the game? i have several versions of different games and the saved states/ROM save info is specific only to the game you played.

ah understandable, i have the free version. Other games i have no issues with, it may have been just a bad rom issue
