My droid1 bit the dust. Just became possessed calling folks, opening apps and switching my phone to spanish lol. Verizon said the screen went bad. Bummer. I really wanted to hold off a new phone til my upgrade in july to see if the dual cores materialize.

Since I just bought my son an X a few weeks ago they let me get an X today as a bogo.

Not sure if I am feeling the X yet, but question: how do I get rid of the junky clutter on the home screens? Like the news and social junk. It wont let me drag them to trash.

Also I dont like the placement of the back button at all or that it is an actual buttom rather than a touch-is there another way to go back onscreen?

I came from the OG Droid, and I would never want to go back. The hard buttons are a wonderful change, but do take some getting used to.

I haven't seen an on screen "back" button, but there may be something available if you use an alternate launcher.

I would suggest that you use your phone a lot before you start making a lot of changes. The Droid X is a kick ass phone, but it is different from the OG Droid.

Yup, item will turn red, then drop it into the bucket. If you want to move it screen to screen, move it to the edge and it will turn green, then the screen will move to the next one.

That moving screen to screen does not work on my X. I have tried it numerous times with no luck. I find it faster just to delete on the one screen and bring it back on the screen where I want it.

Its real finnicky. Its taken me a couple times to hit that sweet spot to get it to work. I just deleted and started over on another screen.
