Cleaning up the Droid

I just spent some time deleting APK's using Astro/Appmanager.

What I found is that every time there is an update to an app the APK's stay there - so you have old APK's that can be deleted to make space.

Also very often when you uninstall something the APK's are still there.

Technically you don't need any of the APK's in there unless you need to re-install. However you definitely don't need older versions.

I deleted a ton and cleared up a ton of space.

JUST FYI.

What folder you find all the apks in? Particularly the old versions and the apps weuninstalled but apks are still present

where are the apk's

I looked with astro only apk's i could find were in download but only like 5 where else are they stored.
thanks

Sorry they renamed Appmanager Appmonster, it's a great program that backs up all your apps. Unfortunately it backs up every version which is why I had more than the usual person.

That's where I found most of the duplicates other than on the SD card itself.
