If you needed a reason to own a Fire Phone here it is. This is a pretty high powered budget phone. Amazon had this phone on sale for $159 with a free year of Prime. That deal is over, but you can still grab this phone for $199 with a free year of Prime. Many of you wouldn't consider owning this phone since it runs the Fire OS. There is finally a way to get AOSP Android running on this device.
Developer "ggow" has released his stable build of CM11 AOSP Kit Kat Android for the Amazon Fire Phone. This is stable enough to use as a daily driver, but may still have a few bugs that need squashing as this is an early build. You will need to be running SafeStrap v4 to flash this. You will also need to grab the Open Camera app from the Play Store for a working camera. Head to the link below for the downloads and install instructions.
