Configuring Razr Maxx HD to only manual refresh e-mail

Hey All,

My wife and I got our first smart phones this weekend. She went with the Razr HD (she liked the slightly slimmer size) and I got the Razr Maxx HD. We love the phones!

I would like to configure my phone so that when it is using the mobile network all applications (calendar, e-mail) are set to manual refresh only. Currently, what I have done was turn off the mobile data option and only turn it on when I need it. I primary use WiFi at home or work so i don't really need the mobile data, unless I'm traveling.

Is there a way that I can leave the mobile data option on and just have my apps set to only manually refresh, unless I'm on a WiFi network?

I'm not sure about the Calender, i believe if you delete the email and re add it, an option exists to on demand refresh only.

I'm not 100% sure but backround sync may work also.
