Ok, well in my phone, it says I am on 2.3.20, which some are saying is the leaked one, but I never downloaded a leak? I looked it up, and I see that it also says that 2.3.320 is the leak. If so, what is 2.3.15, 2.3.20, and 2.3.320?? lmao, I'm so confused.

2.3.15 is the current system version for Froyo 2.2

Not sure where you're seeing 2.3.20? Where are you reading this?

Settings>About Phone>System Version> Version 2.3.20.MB810.Verizon.en.us

I'm on rubiX 1.8.6 Focused. Does that make a difference?

It shouldn't. But, then again, I'm not into ROMs. I would think the Version is based on the 'cmos' if you will. As much as these phones are like PC's, I'm still learning the curve.

I'm sure someone running Rubix could help you with sharing their version info.

2.3.320 is the leak. Your phone says the same thing mine does lol....

You downloaded the leaked firmware when you downloaded Rubix 1.8.6. seeing it's built off of the leaked update. :) doesn't anyone read the devs list of updates and changes. :p. Hope this helps your confusion.

Yes.... But it is not based off of the new 2.3.320 leak. Neither is 1.8.9, should also say it was also based on a leak 2.2.1.

1.8.6 wasn't based off the TBH leak.

Since these two are so closely related, I'll be posting them together.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS ONE IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE LEAK, ONE IS NOT

Change log from 1.8.6:

  • Updated tweaks (credit to Collin_PH for some of them)
  • Kernel tweaks (NO this is not a custom kernel upgrade of any sort, simply set the CFS to behave more like a BFS) i'd like to thank inkarnit for working on these behind the scenes with me. He helped me test the kernel tweaks :)
These kernel tweaks will kill your quadrant score. If you score ~900/1000, you know they are working. These quadrant scores are changed in the I/O scheduler, but increase cpu performance and the like. The phone OVERALL will run FASTER and SMOOTHER than before. THESE LOW SCORES ARE NORMAL. Linpack scores, on the contrary, will increase.

  • Added transition animations (credit to Myn, and JsinLegacy for pointing them out)
  • Re-optimized, zipaligned all apks and framework-res/moto-res
  • OGG (sounds) optimized
  • Updated moto files with 2.3.320 files (some anyways)
  • Now compatible with OC on boot (seems to not work on the leak) and will not cancel out my tweaks
  • Bootstrap is installed on boot (takes a few minutes), to reboot into recovery, either run the bootstrap app or type bstrap.sh -r in terminal emulator *STILL BETA*
  • Some other things I can't remember right now, will update when my memory is better :)
The moto files in the 1.9.3 (maybe 1.8.9 also) were updated, but 1.8.6 is still 2.3.15

This is my system info....

This is one from apex 1.2 thread

Notice how mine says 2.3.20, and his says 2.3.320? 2.3.320 is the leak. I have no frikkin clue wtf 2.3.20 is.

2.3.20 is what rubix is based on now. The 2.3.320 is a different leak. Rubix 1.8.x is based on a 2.3.20 built that I guess was leaked, but isn't the same as the 2.3.320. An SBF of 2.3.15 will work on .20, but not .320.

THANK YOU! Thats where I was confused. I've never seen 2.3.20 before, and I knew I never intentionally flashed a leak. And that explains why I could SBF unlike people who are on 2.3.320.

No problem =) As far as I know, 2.3.20 is an AOSP build, and the 2.3.320 is a Motorola build. That explains why one doesn't change your bootloader and the other does xD
