Connecting to Internet thru PC NOT Tethering!

My work does not have wireless and the phone signal in the building is bad at best. My old Windows mobile phone had access to the internet when plugged in to the usb port on the computer.

How can I do this for my Motorola Droid X?

Thanks

Maybe, what kind of permissions and hardware do you have available? You need admin rights on the computer, as well as a wifi card.

I do have admin rights. I am not sure if there is a wireless nic card on the computer but I can get one. If by wifi card you mean something else, please let me know what that is.

How do I proceed from there? Is there a way to make the computer act like a router?

Thanks
David

Yes, I'll leave the Googleing up to you, but what you're looking to do is bridge your network connections (wired and wireless) and host a network from your work computer.
