Cue - Constant Rebooting

Model - LG V20 VS995
Internal - 64Gb
SD - 128Gb
Android version 8.0.0
Security Patch Oct,2018
No root activity

Batt condition - 2nd one is about 1yr old - New one in the works.

They are very difficult to find locally, and Verizon where purchased, never has batteries for what they sell - never understood this.

Standby falls off to point it has showed 30% - and has shut down.

The battery alert seems to get bypassed, catching me off guard in middle of a process before getting cable plugged in.

Regardless, running machII to get at cable = fail.

* Now to what has just happened waking up Nov 13th, and notice phone is going through repeated reboot over & over - still plugged into charger.

With no idea how to stop this -
Logic attempts to step in -
* remove battery -
& SD card just in case its the cause.

Reinsert battery - reboot, it goes back to repeated rebooting nonsense.

By - Pressing & Holding Down 'On Button' & 'Volume Down',
by absolute fluke,
menu safe mode comes up.
Which is how we are able to get here today.

Only browser allowed - Google.

Every other App is disabled to grey. They cannot be accessed or deleted when looking at recent App installs. Probable reasons perhaps - weather apps and such.

Explored backup details - nothing less than horror flick.

One very Critical App I use for
several news journal sites -

Notepad Free - a Google App store install - it is now greyed out,
and no possible link to it exists in either memory app listing.

It more than likely 1GB in size,
with 200 file listings, but backup app process shows its 6Mb.

So any attempt to restore to factory settings will wipe out 2-3 years of work. This simply can't happen at any cost.

Current outdoor conditions - light snow, freezing rain.
Heading to computer shop 20 miles out I've used before for battery replacement, will have to wait.

But could use any advice/trick overlooked at the moment that might just work.

Also Advise with what ever is further needed for info & gladly will update.

Thanks again,, and very glad I rediscovered my favorite site
hiding in saved bookmarks.

Last time here I was using G4,
and if I dig him out, I'm sure he's
up to it. At 60 something,, being up
to it is a miracle at times.

Cheers

Glad I got back before anyone wasted
time on this weird case,, So Today - 14th

Could not resist taking phone out of
Safe Mode.

Was shocked that it somehow pulled through a complete boot, although heavy duty struggle,, getting everything back up,, with all the disabled apps -
then when stable - perform a partial backup of critical apps, notepad free for one.
Surprised it was in the backup stack, which I never expanded the menu before to show what all can be backed up.
Unchecking roughly 70 others not necessary for the process.

This Notepad Free app has been used everyday compiling news research,, and what a dramatic loss if it vaporized.

One huge drama with this Google store app 'Notepad Free'
it can't be located on either memory, internal or SD, as a file or entity.
But it does show up in stack of listed apps. TOO WEIRD.

I'd really like to source out a Very True Pro notepad app,, but it's always a scam with pro apps listed as priority,, at the Google store, and there's nothing good about any of them in the reviews.
Truly hate going there,, you spend all freaking day there,, and not accomplish a darn thing.

I'm ready to pay a finder's fee at this point,, and have an actual app that can actually be moved to SD card at will.
vs
Ghost app Crap.
We'll, Untill Next Time -
Cheers.
