contact photos do not update

For some reasons the contacts in my phone which are linked with their facebook accounts don't update when they change their profile pic. Their status updates refresh and update but not the pictures. Any ideas?

The FB app for Android has always been notoriously crappy. Try re-installing the app, deleting the cache and default settings, and, if you must, use a 3rd party app to sync contact info.
