Contact pictures

Y'all are going to make me an expert by the time I work through all my issues

When I add a contact via the shortcut, I can get my contact's picture to show up only after I open it. When I look at the widgets I only see the little android dude.

I use the contact tasks widget on one of my home screens for speed dials and the contact pictures are shown on the widget. Long press screen, select Motorola widgets and select Contact quick tasks, your address book will pop up then find and select the contact you wish to have loaded on your desktop. The contact's picture from your address book should show on the widget.

Try removing and re-installing the widget. I have noticed on some widgets that some widgets use the picture associated with the contact pictures at the time you installed it on the desktop but do not update when they are changed.
