contact ringtones revert to default

I downloaded a few ringtones to use for specific contacts, but every time I charge my phone by using the pc usb port..the ringtones revert to factory ones. I am fairly sure that this is because when connected to the pc the SD card isn't available for the phone (only the pc). Is there anyway to fix this so the right ringtones stay and I don't have to keep resetting them? Perhaps a way to put the few ringtones I use in the internal memory instead of on the SD card?

Can you give us more details? Like what device you have & maybe what version of Android it's running?

Sorry. I thought the phone was listed...it's a Huawei Vitria model Y301A2 and it's running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
