Contact Sync is Hanging

Inoticed today that my google contacts were not syncing, so I forced the sync with settings/accounts/google/Sync Contacts. After about 15 seconds, the sync dial quits spinning and the sync appears to have stopped. I have waited as long as 30 minutes to see if it would restart, no luck.

Any ideas on how to get my updated google contacts to my phone?

I've rebooted several times, including a battery pull.

i have the same problem. I am able to sync the calendar fine but not contacts.

I finally resolved my problem after determining that the Google Contacts database was corrupted. I noticed this when I did an export from Google to it's csv file, and then pulled it up in Excel. The data did not make any sense, so I knew there was a problem there. My solution was to delete all contacts from Google and to add them one by one. It was time consuming, but everything works fine now. I believe a 3rd party CRM program I was using sent the corrupted data to Google, I am not using it any longer.

Thanks sdbroker. I am using act crm and syncing it through companionlink, which as I've seen on other posts is as likely to work at winning the lottery.
