Contacts BB to Droid by Verizon no sync

I got my Droid yesterday and Verizon moved over my contacts for me. I noticed they did not sync with Google. I learned (not from Verizon) that they transfer them to the sd card, and not actually to the phone's internal memory. I had to import them from the sd card, then everything synced well.
Contacts -> menu -> import

That was probably much faster for them... too bad they didn't have the presence of mind to tell you.
