contacts not linking to facebook

i have some contacts in my phone that didnt automaticly link to their facebook. when entering these contacts i just put there first name in, i then came back and put there full name in but they still didnt link up, any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Check the sync settings in your facebook app

You have to make sure the names are exactly as they are displayed on facebook.

I have a few contacts that I have to manually join because some of my friends tend to use off-the-wall facebook names that don't necessarily jive with how I have them listed on my phone.

To manually join (on 2.0.1+, at least):

Select the contact
Press Menu
Select Edit Contact
Press Menu again
Select Join

You should be presented with a list of suggested contacts. Hopefully the one you're looking for is in there.
