Control Android 2.2 from Desktop?

I know there was a file using Java or something that I used to control my Android Phone (motorola droid) before I got 2.2, but since I got 2.2, it only shows the screen on the desktop but I can't control it any way. Is there another application that allows the same thing for Android 2.2?

Did you ever find an application. I didn't know there was one in the pre-2.2 world ... I've been looking for one for months.
