Copying files to SD Card...

So I encountered a bit of a problem and hopefully you guys can point me to the right direction. I tried to research the problem but I have no luck finding the answers.

Up to yesterday, I had no problems backing up any data into my SD. Until today, I've tried to move files from PC to the SD through USB, such as the 928 themes ( just 3 files), and it won't let me. A window pops up and tells me error copying....and the connection is either lost and such. Also, I decompressed the files before I try to move it to the phone.

I have USB Debugging mode on as well as PC mode.

Try switching to mass storage and see if that works.

The USB Storage method worked. I'm just wondering why the PC mode is giving me a problem now which it hadn't before.

In PC mode, I was able to move photos, videos, and music files. I just couldn't move ROM files that I downloaded, such as "system", "Meta-INF" files.

However, under USB mode, I was able to move anything I want anywhere.

In PC mode you are able to read and interact with SD card on both the pc and the X. In USB Mass Storage Mode your Droid X cannot see the SD card it can only be seen by your pc.
