Cost of TB

$249 with a possible $50 mail-in rebate(I sure hope so)

Verizon is not doing mail-in rebates for its high-end devices any more ($150+). Any rumor you hear that says that can be taken as false. They will apply instant rebates now (which basically is not a rebate at all, you get the discounted price at the outset without having to wait or fill anything out).

$249 if you renew with the new every two?

Yes. As long as you are eligible to upgrade at release date (either you are the primary account with an upgrade, or a secondary line and 20 months of your 2 year contract has expired). You might be able to convince VZW to move you up a couple of weeks, but not months (they just want the contract). If you have no upgrade to use, its full price for you then (could be anywhere from $615 at VZW to $750 at Best Buy, not really official yet though).

That has been changed again. I rang up a DX for a customer yesterday and it came up as $199 and a $50 MIR. This has only been in the last day or two.

Ugh! What the heck VZW!? I liked the new policy, mail-in rebates are so stupid, I hate having to pay extra upfront and then wait to get the money back. Thanks for clearing that up though. Its hard to keep on top of every policy change Verizon has been making lately (and there have been many).

I agree! Imagine being a rep! Haha!
I don't like mail-in rebates either but, the DX is now $149 after rebate :)

Yeah if you look at the document that went out about the rebates that offer was over as of 2/14.

Rolling FWD I have not seen anything new, I would have assumed that the no rebate would stick, but from what I have found it was only during the *phone launch that they got rid of rebates on high end devices.. my own personal gut feeling and I have nothing to support it would be the TB will be $299 with a MIR for whatever.. probably $50.. that be the case just upgrade online and they offer with instant rebates online.. right?
