..yesterday I tried to hang up..the screen was frozen...it wouldn't let me power off or anything...I had to pull it out of the case and do a battery pull with the phone still in the call....that iis something that hopefully will NOT be a regular occurence..

anyone else have this problem yet or hear anything about it....

that is one of the reasons I left blackberry and the Storm..because it's dangerous to have a phone that you just don't know will work when you need it to...

It's happened to you one time and that calls for panic? Go so far as compare to to a blackberry storm?:icon_eek:

You should be able to hang up the phone by just using the power button. Are you using any task killers or virus protection? You may want to take those as they are resource hogs and aren't really beneficial.

I've had my Droid one since November and I've had it totally lock up on me two times. That's not too bad I don't think, specially if you want to compare it to a blackberry.

Actually mine has done that twice in the past few weeks. To end the call, I am able to shut the phone down but it is still annoying. This has only started since I updated to the new OS. Sorry I have no real answers for you, hopefully someone else will. BTW I don't use any type of TSK. I do run Launcher pro, but doubt (hope) that isn't the issue as I haven't seen this concern listed on the Launcher pro threads.

I wouldn't call it panic..yet :)...however, 1 time is enough...and I held the power button down...nadda..held it down for a longer period of time...nadda....finally had to pull the battery..which was a pain to get out of the hard shell case, etc...no task killer or virus protection installed..

Still don't have the phoe "tweaked" or "figured out" yet...still only getting 5-6 hours per full charge on the battery as well...but still really enjoying my first android phone nonetheless...

But not being able to make or hang up calls is a serious problem imo

Charging time sounds about right to me. These phones suck up juice, but so did the Storm, only difference was you had to wait 5 minutes for those things to reboot. :)

An extra battery and a charger is almost a requirement IMHO. Amazon has the batteries cheap. Ebay for a wall charger for the spare battery. You'll find yourself less concerned about battery use and enjoying your Droid 2 a lot more.
