Coverage Map

Wouldn't it be great if all the cellular service providers used the Google maps to show their coverage area. I can go to google earth and see how many pipelines are underwater outside Louisiana but I can not compare cellular coverage without going to 5 websites and looking at 5 different maps in different formats.

That BETA site is nice if I live in one of those few cities they excercise that ability with. But it would be great to get the tower cooridinates and their antenna pattern on Google Earth all over the world. I mean if you were coming here from France and were going to buy disposable phone it would be nice to know what the coverage is going to be or if you are moving to Orlando, FL which carrier is going to work in your future neighborhood.

Not a bad idea but coverage maps are of limited actual use IMO. I've lived in countless zones with allegedly "good" coverage and no bars.
