cox.net outgoing mail through x2 standard email

I have several accounts through cox cable/cox.net. It seemed easy to set them up in the standard email "app" that came with my x2. I can receive emails with ease. But I cannot send anything from any of my accounts. It says "authentication error sending" for all of them! help!
 
Thanks - this seemed to work once,,,then not after that. Any thoughts?
 
Did you change the smtp settings so it has security? I have Cox also and that's how it worked for me.
