CPU maxing out constantly...even when idle???

CPU maxing out on Droid 2 Global. As if that is not annoying enough it makes touch screen almost unusable. I am monitoring all processes, nothing is hung- no rogue alps, etc. Does anyone know if Gingerbread will help this. If so, when are they releasing it. This behavior is driving me nuts.

I have same problem. I have a lot of heavy games I use constantly (Pets Live, Restaurant Sotry, Bakery Story, iMobsters, Farm Story) along with my Facebook, Gingerbread Keyboard that I instealled and Fancy Widget. That's about all I really run, and I get CPU 100% all the time, just switching from game to game. I am constantly going into my task manager and closing it all out, except Fancy Widget and Gingerbread Keyboard. I am thinking that the Gingerbread Upgrade might make things kinda worse cuz it takes up over 100MB of RAM. So we will have to see, I might need to think about asking for help in freeing up some RAM? Not sure about a lot of this stuff
