crack in thelcd screen

some how got a crack in my lcd screen the phone is turned on but everything is black (like the phone is locked) verizon is sending me a new phone but I would like to dump this old phone before i send it off is their anyway to do that from my home computer? and has this ever happened to anybody else?

You could take the SD card and put it in an SD adapter, or another phone with SD, and transfer the data to your computer from there.

i did that so i could go back to my droid 2. I would like to set the razor back to factory settings before i send it to verizon, but i cant becouse the phone screen is all black, could i reset it from my home computer?
