Crackling/Hissing with EVERY touch! Help!!

I've searched the Internet and have found similar issues, but my droid crackles and hisses with every touch. Dialing, opening a text message, surfing the web, looking at pics....on and on. It doesn't matter what I touch, even things with no sound, it does this!!

I love my Droid and have had it for many months with zero issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Everything else works perfectly, this is just annoying!

And this isnt the standard 'pop' that happens when you touch the screen? check settings/sounds/media volume and adjust that see if it stops.
