The other surprising thing about that it even includes folks who are eligible to renew their contract with Verizon, not just new customers. This is an incredible deal on what is basically a high-end phone. Let's recap some of these specs:

Even the full retail price of $489 isn't bad compared to some of the other options. Could be a cheap(er) way for someone with an older phone to upgrade to something newer without losing their unlimited data plan.

Going for north of $430 on Ebay (with a few days left still on the auction) right now for new in the box so $489 is definitely a good deal for full retail pricing.
