Credit Check Over The Phone?

My question is I know Verizon will run a credit check when signing up for service and I know my credit is average but I want to know if I have to pay a security deposit without having to go to my local store. It is a 45 minute round trip btw. Can I call Big Red and have them do a credit check over the phone to determine if I need a deposit?

Never hurts to call. You can even call your local branch and have them run it....
