curious about the battery

Maybe its just me but didn't the website say that the droid 2 would come with a different battery than its predecessor? Since I received my d2 from a warranty claim I got to inspect the batteries side by side. I feel slightly cheated since I was told battery life would be significantly greater on the new droid device. Any thoughts?

They offer a verizon / moto extended battery option. Someone said they are around $50 with a new door. I'm thinking about getting one for my D1.

it said the system would utilize the exact same battery to make it last longer, not ship with a different battery
