Custom alert sounds

Is it possible to set a sound as an alert tone for only one contact? I know it can be done with ringtones, but I can't seen to find anything for alerts. Any apps that can do this?

What do you mean by "alerts"? Can't you bring up all your sounds when you go to set a customized ringer for a contact?

Sorry not "alert" I ment "notification." When I'm viewing a profile, it gives me the option to set a "custom ringtone", but I'd like to set a certain sound for that contact only that'll go off when I receive a sms message from the contact.
