This is just a very basic stock ROM. I deodexed the ICL53F system image from Google (Android 4.0.2) rooted it and installed busybox. I saw that no such stock ROM was available and decided to share mine.

Features
  • Stock 4.0.2 ICL53F
  • Deodexed Framework and System Apps
  • All APKs Zipaligned
  • Latest Superuser and su
  • Busybox Installed
  • Insecure boot.img (adb remount privileges)
Requirements

  • LTE Galaxy Nexus
  • Clockwork Recovery
  • Kernel and baseband in screenshot below (if you don't have them, look in the 2nd post for the fastboot images - flash them in bootloader prior to flashing the ROM)

Advanced Power Menu + Autobrightness Tweaks (credit he_stheone64 on XDA for GSM version)

Adds reboot and recovery options to power menu. Raises auto brightness levels slightly.

Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash radio radio-toro-i515.ek02.img
fastboot flash radio-cdma radio-cdma-toro-i515.ek05.img

Softkeys Mod (credit to Paul O'Brien, I learned from his SystemUI.apk to make mine ;-)

Must be on a deodexed ROM to install! Install after initial boot!

Search button, hidden menu buttons on both sides (exposed when apps call for them)

So all we have to do is unlock the bootloader?

sent from my bio... err rezo... err Galaxy Nexus. using vanilla android.

Thank you. Installed Rom and mods. I've followed your work since the X days but never tried it. Oh yeah donated too... Happy Holidays.

Is there a way to get the advanced power menu without the auto brightness tweak?

-from the GNex

Unlock bootloader, root, flash recovery(make sure to go into root explorer and in "system" rename "recovery-from-boot.p" to "1recovery-from-boot.p" for CWM to stick after a reboot), make nanadroid and then you can flash away.

Nice work F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S.

Sooo tempted to do this right now at work lol. Had planned on staying rooted/stock for a while but definitely have noticed the auto-brightness isn't great and not having a reboot option after months and months of custom ROMs on the OG Droid having it is getting annoying. I saw the patch for it in another post but the whole needing a deodexed ROM threw a wrench in there.

So can anyone confirm that the advanced power menu will work with a different launcher? I'm using Nova launcher and can't remember if the power menu is part of the framework or the launcher itself. Someone here told me it was the framework but wasn't positive, didn't want to switch from nova

Power menus are independent of your launcher choice, unless they changed it between Gingerbread and ICS.

this looks gr8, loving the early development.... knowing this forum will definitely go far

Glad to see this here :nerd:
