cyanogen boot loop

so im trying to go from dm to cm using rom manager and install the latest cm rom and it just goes into a boot loop have tried a battery pull have tried reinstalling it all with no luck boot loop every time
 
i did not but is there a way i can reinstall that like in sbf clockwork is so different

did a data wipe but still would not like to lose everything

he was running droid mod 1.0 my fault i forgot to tell him to wipe. i thought he knew. if you go from a 2.0.1 rom to a 2.1 rom you have to wipe/data. sorry.
 
i didnt know it was a 2.1 rom i got it installed but it ran super slow slower then when my phone was stock so i went back to droid mod

It probably seemed a little slow because CM is not overclocked. You have to install an OC kernel after the ROM.

After you wipe data/cache and install, reboot a few times. I have no idea why this works for me, but it has been reported by others as well.
