D2G Issue with Belt Holster

Hello everyone! New Droid user here. I just purchased a D2G a week ago and really enjoy the phone. However, I just received a new belt holster and when I put the phone into it, it automagically goes into Car Dock mode. Even if I have it locked. What gives? I assume the magnet in the holster is triggering some internal sensor in the phone, but how do I turn it off?

Yeah its the magnet activating the car dock app. There may be a fix as I think that this has been brought up before. I'll keep my eyes open but hopefully somebody else has some good advice.

What he said. Your best bet is going to be shelling out another thirty bucks to get a different case. It's what I ended up doing. That issue kept thing me a headache even after downloading an app to stop it from launching anything.
The app stopped the dock apps from loading, but it would activate my screen, which would kill my battery if I wasn't paying attention. Another option you have is rooting, if you're comfortable with that.I'm still new to the android scene, but maybe in the future I will be comfortable enough to root.....

Thanks everyone. I ended up downloading the app "Dock Nothingness" from the market. It works ok. Phone still wakes up but remains locked and goes back to sleep with no problem. Maybe they'll address this in a future OS upgrade. <shrug>
