D3 software

The software that auto installs when you plug your D3 into the USB on your computer for the first time. Is this software need to access the phone? Or is it just junk that MOTO wants you to install? I am not talking about Verizons Vcast software.

you dont need it i use sd storage as the option under usb conection and i get that thing, MOTN, and sd card as i have another actual sd card in my phone.
