Dang glad I saved my unlimited plan for another 2 yrs and......

I bought my RAZR Maxx and secured my unlimited plan for at least another 2 years. I'm sure its my last subsidized phone from Verizon BUT I'm so glad i got the Maxx with its longer life battery

I simply couldn't deal with a "normal" battery, or swapping them, or plugging in all the time. I could care less if a phone had quad processors and Jelly Bean or Key Lime Pie, I wouldn't give up my phone or plan.

I would dare say even if my phone was not subsidized, I would gladly have paid full price. Look at my data use and do the math. My monthly cycle isn't even over yet.

Did you lose or give up your unlimited plan and wish you still had it? How about your choice of phone? How is your "limited plan" governing your phone use?

That is a pretty large amount of data to use, you certainly are in a rare group. Even I consider myself a heavy user of data but I get maybe 3gb a month.

What the heck do y'all do to use so much data?

Playing any kind of online games, this includes xbox and PS3, or downloading huge files will make your usage jump a lot.

My home internet went down for a day one time so I tethered my home pc to my phone and played online for awhile and date jumped 4GB after only an hour... having systems use even more then that. Hopefully he is not one of those people who uses his phone instead of an ISP...

Well I guess with 4g it is pretty easy to tether as it's about as fast if not faster than most home internet. It's not as fast as my wifi so maybe that's why. Guess some of you really do take advantage:D

My next phone I will buy outright, and gladly will to keep my unlimited. I've been home all month and on wifi and have racked up 4.5gb with three or four days left of this billing cycle.

Yeah I don't like doing it either, it's not exactly how it's supposed to be used is the first reason. Second reason would be because it's like putting the phone through a marathon, phone gets way too hot after tethering for about 30 minutes of non-stop surfing, I can't imagine how it would be for say 2-3hrs.

Still, alot of people keep their ISPs and choose to tether over it, then what's the point of having an ISP? lol

I'm retired so I gather I have more time on my hands for reading and viewing news etc. I don't have TV so my information is all gathered online. I enjoy world events and keep up with them by watching international news broadcasts. That and all the regular things like banking, navigation, radio, Skype with family, email, etc.
