I got my Bionic maybe 2-3 days after launch. Had no problems initially, then suddenly on Oct 19, while in Southern Florida, my phone wouldn't switch from 4G to 3G. Whenever I was in a 4G area it would connect fine, but could NOT get reliably connected to 3G without forcing to CDMA only and restarting the phone. This problem followed me back to the Detroit area (where I live) and lasted about a week (which was a major problem as I travel a lot & use the phone for nav).
Then, just as suddenly, the problems vanished. Since Nov 1 I've been back and forth through areas where I had to go 4G to 3G and back and the phone has connected perfectly in each instance. Geographically it worked great from Indianapolis to Cincinnati and throughout the Dallas area, as well as back home in Detroit.
My phone is rooted, but I haven't installed the leaked update.
These problems feel very much like Verizon network issues that they're (hopefully) working through.
Anyone else found data to have improved since the start of November?
