Date on main screen?

How do I get the date to show on the main screen like the time of day does? I can get it to drop down from the left upper corner but would prefer to have it stay fixed in the main window? Thanks!

You can use a widget. I use beautiful Widgets or you can look for your own. Just search the market.

You can also get an iphone-like clock with date. Look in Market under "Digital Clock Widget." I have used 2, one by BitMod Dev (customizable font size and layout) and one by Maize (easy).
