I've used CyanogenMod's Roms before and had fairly good success. Unfortunately, even his Froyo is having alittle difficulty on my OG. I was wondering if DC is based off CM or another source? Also, what's better about DC?

It's based off AOSP (Android Open Source Project) like CM is.

DC was created by a couple of people. CM by 20+.

Both built from "source" meaning AOSP.

DC was NOT built from CM.

DC and CM are hard to compare as they take 2 different approaches to their builds. DC goes for functionality and smoothness, whereas CM goes for all out customization and bells and whistles. DC wont have all the things CM does but they always ran smooth and fast on my D1.

so dc is better?
what bells and whistles does dc have?

Neither is "better" they are just different. In the end one may run better on your phone than the other. They both ran fine on mine but as with any custom ROM YMMV.

Of course its bett.... oh wait. :)

CM is kinda bloated with every possible mod extra feature known to man kind, and well "corprate". DC is me and Woody, not 20 people going every wich way to end up somewhere completely different. Woody started DC while I was learning AOSP edits and building with Project GimpSource. I then joined with Woody. Seeing how Woody and I have the same views on what a rom should do or not, have or have not. What you have is an incredibly stable fast rom with everything your probably gonna need in a rom. Look at CM6.2.1 and you'll find some stuff I don't even have a clue what it does or why its included.

Make your own choice, try both. But I bet I know where you end up..... ;)

DC has its own settings app, with color manipulations, cpu speeds, etc. Reboot option. And solidness
