dead zone on A855

Hi all, I just replaced the glass on my Motorola Droid and the top half inch is not responsive, suggesting a problem with the ribbon connection? I re-opened and reassembled it and still have the same problem. Do I have a bad Digitizer or did I do something else wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

really? Nobody has swapped a screen and received a dead zone for their troubles? I'm wondering if I compromised the screen when installing or if I just have a bad replacement. Any help would be appreciated.
